DSLR Skills - Introduction to RAW

Shooting in JPG mode on your digital camera is a little like baking a cake, the camera takes all the ingredients you put in and produces a picture. The trouble is, once done, you can't unbake a cake.
The great thing about shooting in RAW is that you get to put the ingredients together to bake the cake, plus if it doesn't turn out quite right, you can unbake it and start again, since making adjustments in RAW is nondestructive.
On this workshop, we start the day by shooting images in RAW mode and then later we take you through a step by step workflow, from storage and backup of your images, through to exporting them ready for print or the internet.
We will be using Lightroom 3 in our workflow, however you should be able to apply the steps you learn during the workshop to your own workflow software.
